The Friends of the Silsbee Public Library's mission is to raise money and public awareness in the community to support the services and programs of the Library.
The Friends of the SPL sponsor several fundraising events throughout the year, such as the Christmas and Spring in the Big Thicket festivals, Book Sales as well as, help coordinate the Summer Reading Programs.
The Friends of the SPL always needs new members, not only to sit on its Board of Directors, but volunteers that can help during fundraising events. Come by the library to pick up an application, download the application now or give us a call at 409-385-4831.
The Friends of the SPL Board is looking for a volunteer that will step up and help by being the library's Children's Programs Coordinator. This is a position held on the SPL Library Board and is a volunteer non-paid position.
